Goodbye 2022

It has been a phenomenally successful start for the Worship Cult!

We started the year fresh on the scene after catching our Jonno in the wild! Equipped with our new partnership in Unearthed Music we were ready to make waves up n down the country, and thats exactly what we did!

Our very first gig as a full lineup found us joining the mighty hardcore heavy hitters TYRANTS on a nice 4 day tour with a break in between to open the show for DISTANT at The Hairy Dog . We had no right being on either of these bills but we took it in our stride and gave everything we had and i think it’s safe to say we earned the right by the end of each performance.

This year saw us playing so many amazing shows (29 shows to be precise!) and we were hosted at some amazing fucking venues such as: The Hairy Dog The Black Heart @The Dev Camden The Engine Rooms, Frog and Fiddle The Twisted Tongue The Chameleon and so many more! Special shoutout goes to The Bridge Inn/The Hive Rotherham for not only being the most gracious hosts but for being the absolute coolest fucking people doing so much good for the live music scene, we can’t wait to return next year

Another high this year; Our very own Lazerus only went and started a fucking movement in the London Metal scene after falling in love with not only all the amazing talent that it offers but the amazingly beautiful people that make the scene what it is today. By the way that movement is the London Metal Coalition and it’s an exciting initiative we can’t wait to see take off even further next year. BIG LOVE TO THE LONDON TALENT and big love to Monsta Ents. for his amazing work keeping the London Metal scene alive and kicking all these years, youre a fucking geezer! Special shouts to Casey Marsh (@happythash) Tom Debenham (@debsmakesnoise) Morten Fausbal (@observeanddistort) and Ben Porter (@imperium.bp) for helping Lazerus realise his dream of creating the LMC, it couldn’t have taken off without your willingness to get involved, your passion has driven this so far already

Shoutout to Caius Maximus (@cai_one_tattoo) for all the fantastic artwork and ink over the year you are an amazingly talented artist and we are honoured to call you our friend. Shouts to Chris (@telluriandrummer) for the lovely mix and masters you hear on our releases. Such a pleasure to have you along with us on our production journey, thank you dude

Special tip of the hat to our good friend @Jim Henderson who has supported us and played us on his radio shows since our first release, it means a lot to us dude! Another special thank you goes to our unofficial official backing vocalist Chippy ( @drumchips_44 ) who has joined us on stage a number of times to help get the message out to ‘Wake Up The World!’. Chippy also generously shared interviews with us and played our songs on his radio show on Smile Radio. Youre the fucking best dude!

A huge shoutout to the promoters we’ve worked with including Impious Spirit Productions Rock The Foundry Deadsoul Promotions just to name a few! Thank you to every promoter putting on shows you are all amazing!
